The latest tactical drone control system "Orbita" has been transferred to the Russian military on the front line. This was announced by the head of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CUST) Andrei Bezrukov.
According to him, the novelty has already passed its baptism of fire. With its help, this spring, operators from a distance of hundreds of kilometers controlled a drone that successfully destroyed the target.
"Orbita" includes neural networks for tracking the target, secure and modern communication systems. Communication with the drone is maintained through an encrypted digital channel that allows you to control kamikaze drones from anywhere in the world.
According to the developers of "Orbita", the complex opens up new horizons for the mass use of drones. Artificial intelligence facilitates the work of operators, providing flight correction when approaching both static and dynamic targets.
Military expert Vadim Kozyulin clarified that the system will be able to combine the work of operators of a strike UAV and a reconnaissance aircraft and will help save the lives of our drone operators. Now their presence in the danger zone is optional.
