S7 Airlines has refused to transfer idle Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo aircraft to foreign carriers, despite interest from Egypt and the Philippines. This was reported by the company's press service.
(S7) is not in negotiations and has no intention of negotiating the transfer of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft to any foreign companies.
Airlines AlMasria (Egypt) and SEAIR Int (Philippines) showed interest in the Russian aircraft. They planned to buy the aircraft through an intermediary or lease up to five aircraft.
Currently, S7 has 39 Airbus A320/321neo aircraft idle — only 11 are in operation. The reason for the downtime of the aircraft is problems with Pratt & Whitney engines. Their maintenance is impossible due to sanctions and the lack of necessary components on the Russian market.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the United States imposed new sanctions against Russian companies, including Pobeda airline.
