"Aeroflot" continues negotiations on the transfer of aircraft for "wet" leasing. This was announced by Sergey Alexandrovsky, General Director of the Aeroflot Group, at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Yes, they do not stop, including with foreign ones.
However, there are currently no active negotiations on such transactions in the domestic market. This is due to the fact that the "wet" leasing mechanism for Russian airlines on domestic routes became available only from September 2024.
Previously, Aeroflot had already used this scheme. Three Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft with crews were leased from iFly. These aircraft were used on routes from Moscow to Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Such agreements allow Aeroflot to quickly increase capacity without having to purchase new aircraft.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that Russia istrying to lease passenger planes from Ethiopia.
