The Government of the Sakhalin Region and Sitronics KT have signed an agreement on the joint development of technologies for unmanned maritime logistics.
The project includes the implementation of autonomous navigation and unmanned shipping, the creation of marine robotic systems and unmanned boats, as well as the development of infrastructure and permanent routes for civil cargo transportation in the region's water area.
The technologies will be used on inland waterways and in the transportation of goods over short and long distances, which will improve the efficiency, regularity, and safety of maritime communication, especially in difficult weather conditions.
The introduction of autonomous navigation will improve the logistics of remote areas, speed up the delivery of goods, and strengthen the transport connectivity of the Sakhalin Region.
