EW system with soldiers' marks on the number of neutralized drones presented at the exhibition in Kazan

The Shtora EW station demonstrated high efficiency, suppressing 135 enemy drones in a week on the front line

The Russian Shtora electronic warfare (EW) station, developed by NPO Kilovatt, demonstrated high efficiency on the front line, destroying 135 enemy drones in less than a week. This complex was taken out of the combat zone and presented at the Drone Expo — 2025 exhibition in Kazan.

This Shtora station is a directed EW station. It came from the front line, and in just a few days, 135 "birds," as the soldiers say, were shot down by it. Several more of the same "Shtoras" are currently working there and have already shot down about 300 enemy drones.

The Executive Director said that the company arose from a humanitarian mission that provided soldiers on the front line with everything they needed, including hot food and warm clothing.

According to her, no one could have foreseen the threat from drones. However, after one of the attacks that caught the group by surprise, they, together with the soldiers, found themselves near the car and began to develop countermeasures, drawing them on the dusty bumper.

One of the key tasks was the ability to carry wounded soldiers from where it was impossible to carry them, because drones were circling in huge numbers in the sky.

Currently, the company produces a variety of "EW-backpack" models, differing in weight, operating time, and the range of suppressed frequencies. In addition, NPO Kilovatt is developing mobile and stationary "Hood" complexes.

Initially, the first mobile EW station was equipped with a converted green household basin. Modern stations are made of durable fiberglass, ensuring operability in all climatic conditions, while maintaining the characteristic "hood" shape in the form of an inverted basin.
