Electric locomotive EP2K No. 510 with a unique design

The design project for the electric locomotive's paint scheme was developed jointly by specialists from the plant and the future operator — JSC "Russian Railways". The locomotive is painted in the same style as the new wagons with which it will operate.

It is planned that the first train with this electric locomotive will run on the Oktyabrskaya Railway. The T gauge wagons, for which the locomotive is intended, have increased dimensions compared to the current serial models. The width of the wagons is increased by 280 mm, and the length – by 730 mm. Due to this, the length of the passenger compartment has become longer, and the sleeping berths have become longer by 160 mm for the upper berths and by 60 mm for the lower berths.

Previously, the Kolomna plant had already produced EP2K electric locomotives in a branded blue and white livery for the "Aurora" train, which also operates on the line between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
