На МКС загерметизировали четыре трещины в российском сегменте

Cosmonauts use ultrasonic and eddy current devices to diagnose the hull

Four through cracks found in 2020–2024 have been sealed in the Russian segment of the International Space Station. This was reported on September 1 at the Cosmonaut Training Center.

The CTC clarified that no air leaks were recorded after the repair. At the same time, experts continue to regularly check places of possible leaks.

According to the center, cosmonauts use several devices for diagnostics. An ultrasonic flaw detector allows you to find damage under structures, an eddy current flaw detector helps determine the depth of cracks, and a thickness gauge helps measure the condition of the hull.
