A slab for a ballastless track, developed for the first stage of the Moscow - St. Petersburg HSR, was demonstrated at the "PRO//Motion.Expo" exhibition.
On the high-speed line, trains will run not on the usual rails and sleepers, but on a special monolithic structure.
The slab will consist of several layers. The upper one is made of high-strength slabs with half-sleepers in which the rails are laid. The middle one is made of non-shrink concrete. The lower one is made of ordinary concrete reinforced with steel reinforcement.
According to experts, this solution will ensure high smoothness, durability and maintainability of the structure.
A high-speed railway line is a specialized electrified double-track railway line for the operation of trains at speeds from 200 to 400 kilometers per hour. There are no such roads in Russia yet. The first project will be the HSR between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The road will be fully launched in 2028. Travel time between Moscow and St. Petersburg on the HSR will be 2 hours 15 minutes.
