BAGS ID self-service baggage drop-off system launched at Sochi Airport

The technology speeds up registration, reduces queues and minimizes contact with staff

The BAGS ID self-service baggage drop-off system for domestic flight passengers in sector A has been launched at Sochi Airport.

The user only needs to scan their passport, get a boarding pass, put their suitcase on a special belt and scan the pass. The system will automatically weigh and measure the baggage, issue a tag to attach to the suitcase, after which the baggage will be sent for loading.

BAGS ID is already operating at the airports of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Novy Urengoy and Yekaterinburg, and will soon appear in Khabarovsk.

The service speeds up the registration process, reduces queues and minimizes contact with staff, making travel more convenient and safer.
