Testing of a new modification of the flying wing type drone "Chernika-2" has begun in Russia. The new product is designed to destroy unmanned boats at sea.
Versions with a target lock system and optical navigation have appeared, as well as a reconnaissance aircraft with a camera on a three-axis gimbal.
Constructive changes have been made to the "Chernika-2" line, which have affected flight characteristics. The goal of the large-scale revisions is to increase resistance to new electronic warfare (EW) equipment, facilitate the operation process, and improve resistance to impacts in flight.
A separate munition arming board with a four-stage protection system against unintentional initiation was developed for "Chernika-2".
Earlier www1.ru reported that five nuclear submarines in Russia will be converted to carry "Kalibr", "Tsirkon" and "Onyx" missiles.
