The Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ, part of Rostec) is building new buildings and renovating old premises, placing modernized equipment. The reconstruction of building 142 has been completed, and the installation and adjustment of electroplating line equipment is currently being completed, the company's press service reported.
Artur Bektemirov, Head of the Construction and Reconstruction Department, admitted that building 142 is one of the most complex and interesting facilities in all his work, since restoring part of a building is much more difficult than building from scratch.
Also in 2025, a new building was erected at IAZ for workshop 232 and department 320. After the departments move, the builders will begin preparing the vacated spans for the relocation of the main production workshops to their territory.
In workshop 221, the installation of a hydroabrasive metal cutting machine and two band saws was designed.
The Irkutsk Aviation Plant builds Su-30SM2 fighters, MC-21 passenger aircraft and Yak-130 light attack aircraft.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec is ready to start supplying MC-21, SJ-100 and Il-114-300 abroad.
