Construction of the main monolithic structures has begun at the Lipovaya Roscha station of the Rublevo-Arkhangelsk metro line. The works are being carried out at a depth of 24 meters outside the Moscow Ring Road, where almost 150 thousand cubic meters of soil were previously extracted. The station complex will include a platform, installation chambers, and reversing sidings for trains.
An anchor method with the use of sheet pile walls 22–30 meters long was used to secure the excavation pit. This technology made it possible to complete the work in one stage, reduce time, and reduce labor costs. This method is possible precisely because of the remote location of the station: in the city center, long anchors could damage underground utilities.
In July, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov launched the construction of a double-track tunnel from Lipovaya Roscha to Stroginо station. After commissioning, the station will become the third in the Moscow region.
The Rublevo-Arkhangelsk line will connect the Moscow City district with Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Krasnogorsk. It will provide transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya, and Big Circle metro lines.
