By 2030, the drone delivery market in Russia may reach 25 billion rubles per year. These estimates are given in the presentation of the national operator of unmanned civil aviation, LLC "Unmanned Aviation Systems" (UAS).
We are talking about the "last mile" delivery within cities, to hard-to-reach regions, and through distribution hubs in remote settlements. Potential customers could be Russian Post, Samokat, SDEK, and Ozon.
Experts note that unmanned logistics is so far economically justified mainly for urgent cargo and hard-to-reach routes: the cost of a drone flight is $5–15, which is higher than that of a courier ($2–5).
The presentation was presented by Alexey Varyatchenko, General Director of UAS, at the forum "Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future" in Skolkovo.
