The eyes of the "Iskander-M": the SKAT 350 M scout was first equipped with an "IFF" system

Tests confirmed the successful transmission of the signal over a distance of more than 40 km

The Kalashnikov Group (part of Rostec) has equipped the SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drone with domestically produced remote "IFF" equipment.

Test flights confirmed the successful transmission of the signal at a distance of over 40 km from the airfield, which significantly exceeds the performance of similar models. The new equipment provides two-way communication between airport control services and aircraft, increasing flight safety.

The wingspan of the SKAT 350 M is 3.2 m, which allows it to perform tasks at different altitudes. For each operational flight, the SKAT 350 M covers a distance of at least 240 km, staying in the air for up to four hours.

Kalashnikov has improved the operational characteristics of the SKAT 350 M UAV nacelle, reducing the effects of the electric motor vibration and improving the shock-absorbing properties of the aircraft during landing. As a result of the work carried out, the service life of the drone has significantly increased.

The SKAT 350 M acts as a target designator for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system.
