A new import-substituted Superjet-100 passenger aircraft has arrived at Syktyvkar Airport for flight tests, according to the Komiaviatrans airline.
Superjet-100 is a short-haul, import-substituted new generation jet aircraft. The airliner is in demand on the domestic market due to its harmonious combination of capacity, range, and comfort.
The new SJ-100 aircraft is performing test flights to evaluate the operation of various aircraft systems.
Earlier in 2025, flight tests of the Tu-214 aircraft produced by the Kazan Aviation Plant were also conducted over Syktyvkar.
The Kaluga-based enterprise ONPP "Tekhnologiya" will increase the supply of glazing for the SJ-100 by 2.5 times, noted the Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha. Rostec also noted that the serial production of the SJ-100 is scheduled for 2026.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec declassified the heat resistance of the blades of the PD-8 and PD-14 aircraft engines.
