A neural network will identify illegal stalls in St. Petersburg

For this purpose, cars with special hardware systems travel around the city

In St. Petersburg, the authorities have introduced a neural network to identify illegal outlets. Eight cars equipped with special systems that help in this task are circulating in the city. This was reported in the press service of the State Administrative and Technical Inspection (GATI).

Cars with neural networks scan city streets and record all illegal stalls. After the discovery of such objects, the owners are fined 50 thousand rubles. The first fine was issued to the owner of a land plot in the Vyborgsky district. Now he needs to either agree on the placement of the stall, or remove it.

The neural network not only identifies violations, but also monitors the implementation of prescriptions. Four weeks after the fine is imposed, the AI will re-check the territory along one of 186 pre-defined routes. This will ensure that the owners have actually eliminated the violations.

Earlier it was reported that manufacturers of earthworks in St. Petersburg received fines totaling more than 31 million rubles. The new initiative with the neural network is aimed at improving control over compliance with trade rules and maintaining order in the city. The authorities hope that the use of artificial intelligence will help reduce the number of illegal stalls and increase the level of compliance with legislation.
