The Perm plant "ODK-STAR" will produce 30 sets of automated control systems for PD-8 aircraft engines in 2026, intended for the import-substituted SJ-100 "Superjet".
Managing Director Sergey Popov noted that the plant will also produce 10 sets of control systems for PD-14 units, which are used on medium-range MC-21 airliners.
The enterprise is working ahead of schedule, creating a production backlog. The company is ready for mass production of both modifications of control systems.
The PD-8 engine will replace the French-made SaM146 power plants on the SJ-100, which were installed on previous versions of the "Superjet". Rostec noted that mass production of the SJ-100 and MC-21 will begin next year.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec was instructed to reduce the cost of MC-21 and SJ-100, advantages over Boeing and Airbus are needed.
