Five new EP3D electric trains have joined the railway fleet of the Far East. The trains were manufactured at the Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant (part of TMH) and are designed to transport passengers in Primorye.
The electric trains are equipped with safety systems, climate control with air disinfection, USB ports for charging devices, bicycle racks and seats for passengers with limited mobility. After commissioning, the total number of trains of this series in the region will reach 16.
Two trains are already operating on the routes, and three more are being prepared for launch. The preparation is carried out by specialists from the "Pervaya Rechka" motor depot and representatives of the plant. Each six-car train can accommodate up to 586 passengers.
Before entering the depot, the trains traveled 9,000 km. They will be serviced by the company "Express Primorya". The service life of new electric trains is 40 years.
