Soyuz Microphones Go Global: Brazzaville's Frontman Exports Tula Equipment Abroad

Production is located in Tula due to the availability of skilled labor and lower wages

David Arthur Brown, frontman of the American indie band Brazzaville, is exporting Soyuz microphones manufactured at a factory in Tula. The musician told Reuters about this.

According to Brown, production is located in Tula due to the availability of skilled labor associated with the defense industry, and lower wages compared to Moscow. Products are supplied to the USA, Europe, China and other countries. Some microphone models are valued at thousands of dollars.

The Soyuz factory was founded in 2013 by Brown and Russian entrepreneur Pavel Bazdyrev. The company, where microphones are produced manually, employs about 60 people. Brown noted that competition in this segment is high, but choosing Tula as a production site gives advantages.
