JSC "Rosatom Nedra" and the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of processing mineral and technogenic raw materials.
The parties will focus on creating joint laboratories, conducting scientific research and testing new materials for extracting useful components from industrial waste.
According to the head of Rosatom Nedra, Vladimir Verkhovtsev, the cooperation will accelerate the introduction of innovative solutions, develop new industries and strengthen Russia's technological sovereignty.
The Rosatom mining division has accumulated significant amounts of waste that can be processed into a valuable source of raw materials — especially in the face of growing demand for metals and materials for high-tech industries.
