Rostec Delivers Problematic Ansat Helicopters to Far North for First Time: Flight Range is Useless

The rotorcraft can be operated at temperatures of -45°C

The Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec) has transferred two light Ansat helicopters to the Magadan Region for the Aviaция Колымы airline, which will be the first carrier in the Far North to replenish its fleet with these machines.

One of the Ansat helicopters received an exclusive livery that repeats the color of killer whales, the informal symbol of Magadan.

The delivered vehicles are equipped with medical modules that allow monitoring a person's condition in the air, maintaining vital functions of the body, and, if necessary, providing intensive care.

The helicopters are equipped with artificial lung ventilation systems, as well as tele-ECG, which deciphers the cardiogram in real time. The cabin of each helicopter is designed to transport one victim and two medical workers.

Flarit Mavletkulov, General Director of the Aviaция Колымы airline, stated that operators would be cautious about proposals to purchase the Ansat.

According to him, today the helicopter is of no value without additional fuel tanks: without them, the guaranteed range is 400 km, with them it is 550. No one has experience installing them yet - Aviaция Колымы will be the first to test this solution.

Earlier www1.ru reported that an aviation expert declared the high reliability of the SJ-100 Superjet.
