Our Answer to Steam: Rostelecom Introduces New Platform with Games for PC and Consoles

The online store features over 3000 games and the ability to top up your Steam wallet

Rostelecom has launched its own gaming storefront with a catalog of over 3000 games for Windows, Mac, and consoles. Users will also be able to top up their balance in Steam and other foreign stores.

The platform is a reboot of the "Gaming Market" project, which the company tested in 2019. The catalog now includes not only casual games, but also indie projects, as well as shooters from Japanese publishers, including Synduality Echo of Ada from Bandai Namco. Keys to Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are available. The main question is competition with other Russian platforms, such as VK Play. Sources note that success will depend on pricing policy and transaction fees.

Rostelecom stated that the catalog will be replenished, including projects like Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Elden Ring Nightreign. The company also plans esports tournaments. Investments in the project amounted to 14 million rubles. The platform was fully developed within the company, without the involvement of third-party studios.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostelecom plans to create its own online store.
