The US has modernized the protection of Abrams tanks, practically completely "copying" Russian developments, said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
According to him, some Russian innovations, including the so-called "barbecue grills," were initially ridiculed abroad. However, other countries have already begun to adopt this experience.
Recently, there was a message that the US plans to strengthen the protection of Abrams. According to the Pentagon's plans, they will receive a special coating that reduces thermal visibility, as well as passive protection elements against FPV drone attacks. In fact, the special coating is an analogue of our "Nakidka", additional protection is an analogue of our set of screens, nets, grilles and remote structures like a "barbecue grill".
The state corporation recalled that "Nakidka" is a synthetic material that is put on equipment from above in the form of coatings or covers. The material reduces the level of thermal radiation of the tank several times, so that the vehicle practically merges with the background surface.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "brains" of the latest Su-57 fighters became known.
