Russian "Elbrus" processors are initially protected from cyber threats at the hardware level. This was announced by the General Director of the Institute of Electronic Control Machines (INEUM), Alexander Kim. The architecture of the chips is designed in such a way that it neutralizes potential vulnerabilities even before malicious code appears.
Instead of fixing bugs in software, as many manufacturers do, "Elbrus" uses a "built-in immunity" approach — thanks to the processor's specific memory handling and the proprietary "Elbrus Linux" OS. This system is called "Secure Computing Technology."
We neutralize the very possibility of a threat at the hardware level — due to the processor architecture and the principle of its operation with memory
Cybersecurity at the "hardware" level reduces the risk of attacks and makes such processors especially important for critical infrastructure, defense, and the public sector.
