Mass production of the latest Russian MC-21 aircraft should start no later than December 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting on the aviation industry.

Mishustin stressed the importance of ensuring that the aircraft's flight performance characteristics meet the parameters agreed with the airlines.
On Monday, at Zhukovsky Airport, the operation of onboard radio-electronic equipment was tested on the MC-21 aircraft with domestic systems and units. The aircraft spent 3.5 hours in the air.
