Crews mastered tactical interaction within a unit

Tankers of the Southern Military District (SMD) were trained at a training ground on modernized T-72B3M tanks. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

The tankers studied the characteristics and design of the vehicles, and also mastered the basics of using tanks in combat conditions.

The crews also thoroughly studied tank driving, tactical interaction within a unit, and the use of weapons.

Special attention during training was paid to working with thermal imagers and night vision devices.

Т-72Б3М is a modernized version of the Soviet T-72 tank, which forms the basis of the armored armament of the Russian Armed Forces. The combat vehicle features a V-92S2F engine with increased power of 1130 hp and an automatic transmission, allowing for faster reversing.

Thanks to the power unit, the Т-72Б3М has a range of 500 km and can reach speeds of up to 65 km/h on the highway. As the main weapon, the tank received a 2A46M-5-01 gun, which can also be used as a launcher for anti-tank missiles.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the production scale of the T-90M "Proryv" has become known — up to 300 tanks per year.
