Tu-160 strategic bombers with "Kinzhal" missiles took to the skies for the first time in a long time

The "White Swans" also have Kh-55 and Kh-101 missiles in their arsenal

Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic bombers of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia took to the skies for combat work for the first time in a long time. This was reported by specialized Telegram channels.

The Tu-160's arsenal includes Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal", Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, and guided munitions of the KAB-1500 type.

The Tu-160 was developed in the USSR as a response to the appearance of the US supersonic strategic Rockwell B-1 Lancer, but the domestic aircraft surpassed it in firepower, speed and size.

The Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies stated in early July that the operating Tu-160 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces were transferred to remote airfields in the Far East — seven to Yelizovo in Kamchatka and three to the Anadyr airfield.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the production scale of the T-90M "Proryv" became known — up to 300 tanks per year.
