In 2025, the volume of composite materials produced by Rosatom for the aviation industry will double to 385 tons. This was announced by Alexander Tyunin, General Director of Rosatom's Composite Division.
According to him, in 2024, the tonnage of all types of materials supplied to the aviation industry amounted to 211 tons. This includes fabrics and chopped fibers.
The plan for 2025 is about 385 tons. That is, we expect a twofold increase in consumption. As the approved programs for aviation equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles are implemented, the growth will be very significant every year.
Tyunin reminded that composite materials can last for 100 years or more without being affected by water. Thanks to the new materials, the operating costs of composite vessels are significantly reduced.
The "Black Wing" for the new MC-21 aircraft is a wing made of domestically produced composite materials, which is one of the main features of this aircraft. It was developed to improve fuel efficiency and achieve high aerodynamic performance.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that innovative sensors for the "Superjet" SSJ-100 and MC-21 have begun to be produced in Crimea.
