The flagship from AvtoVAZ presented at SPIEF - the Lada Azimut crossover, which will be produced from 2026, will not get a seven-seater version. This was stated by AvtoVAZ Product Director Oleg Grunenkov.
According to him, the dimensions of the car were carefully thought out to improve the interior space. Additional seats cannot be added due to the design.
Made on the basis of the Lada Vesta, the crossover is 29 mm shorter than the Vesta Cross station wagon, but 53 mm wider and 85 mm higher. The rear seats in the Lada Azimut are located 20 mm further apart for greater passenger comfort. The headroom in the rear row is slightly reduced due to the design features of the body.
Despite the lack of a 7-seater version, AvtoVAZ is working on a new model in this segment. AvtoVAZ representatives at SPIEF announced that they are working on the release of a 7-seater minivan. It may appear in 2026.
