Бывший завод Nissan в Петербурге готовится к выпуску Lada Iskra: первые автомобили соберут в июле

Assembly of test units will begin on July 9

Preparations for the production of Lada Iskra cars at the St. Petersburg plant, formerly owned by Nissan, have entered the final stage. Insiders reported that the company is almost ready to launch the assembly line. Xcite crossovers are already being assembled here today.

From July 9 to 11, it is planned to assemble three test Lada Iskra cars in a sedan body. Further, the assembly rate will be extremely modest: 1–2 cars per day. In July, 16 sedans and 17 station wagons should roll off the assembly line of the plant.

Bodies and components will come from the main AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti, and in the following months, an increase in supplies and, accordingly, an expansion of production is expected.

Production volumes are still limited by both objective difficulties with the supply of components and the general situation in the automotive market. According to insiders, demand remains subdued, and no large volume of sales is expected in the near future. It will all depend on how quickly suppliers can increase the production of components to support two production sites.

The official start of sales of Lada Iskra is scheduled for July 20. The planned assembly volume in 2025 is about 4,000 cars. Prices for the new model have not yet been announced, but, according to preliminary data, they will vary in the range from 1.2 to 1.6 million rubles.
