The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding will begin building unmanned boats for city administrations and Rostransnadzor.
These boats will be used to monitor and detect violations in water areas. This is not just about unmanned vessels, but about a digital control system similar to road cameras, but operating on the water.
The boats will be able to automatically track the registration numbers of various vessels — from boats to small vessels — and transmit data to central posts. This eliminates the need to pursue violators on the water: information is recorded and transmitted remotely using technical means.
KMZ traditionally carries out state defense orders and produces boats for the Russian security forces. The company's products include RX-1173, RPK-640, PK-1200 boats, as well as environmental vessels of project 30350.
