Pile pipe production line launched at Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant

Severstal's rolled metal products are in demand in the construction and oil and gas industries

Severstal has launched a pile pipe production line (can be used as the main load-bearing element, embedded in the ground in various ways) in the pipe-rolling shop of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) in the Vologda Oblast. This was reported in the company's press service.

The shop has a line for volumetric heat treatment of products, and the existing pipe-welding unit has also been modernized. As a result, the performance characteristics of pile pipes have improved.

The cost of building the pile pipe production line amounted to 1 billion rubles. It can produce up to 50 thousand tons of rolled metal per year.
