The design project of the first high-speed train, which will be called "White Gyrfalcon." This was announced by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Roman Starovoit.
Starovoit noted that the timeline for the implementation of the country's first high-speed railway (HSR) Moscow - St. Petersburg is very tight, and the project must be completed by 2028.
In 2026, we will have to complete the construction of a new plant where the trains will be produced. And in 2027, we will produce two trains for test runs on the Moscow - Tver section of more than 100 km, in order to test technical solutions and certify the rolling stock for further operation. The train will be tested on it at speeds above 250 km/h.
According to the minister, the first Russian high-speed train is scheduled to be put into operation in 2028, which emphasizes the importance and relevance of this project for the development of the country's transport infrastructure.
The development of "White Gyrfalcon" will be a significant step in the field of high-speed rail transport in Russia, which will improve the quality of transportation and reduce travel time between major cities.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Sinara Group, together with the Russian Electric Motors company, developed a prototype power plant for the White Gyrfalcon high-speed train.
