The full combat load of a Tu-95MS strategic bomber is eight Kh-101 cruise missiles, according to military expert Yuri Podolyaka.
According to him, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have not used more than six aircraft simultaneously, which amounts to 48 missiles.
Thus, to maintain the same intensity in offensive operations, the VKS only needs to have six combat-ready aircraft, Podolyaka noted.
The Tu-95MS is a modernized strategic bomber developed in the USSR and then in Russia. It is one of the most recognizable and respected military aircraft in the world, standing out for its range and speed, and holds the title of the fastest propeller-driven aircraft on the planet.
