The Aeroflot Group will receive over 100 MC-21 aircraft by 2030, according to the company's CEO, Sergei Alexandrovsky.
Undoubtedly, this includes the arrival of new domestic MC-21 aircraft into the group's fleet. We plan to receive over 100 of them by 2030, and preparations for their operation are already actively underway.
According to him, many of the company's pilots are eager to retrain to fly the new domestic machines.
Also, as part of its new strategy, Aeroflot plans to increase passenger traffic to 80 million people by 2030, Alexandrovsky added.
We had a very long discussion within the company, and at the board of directors level, but nevertheless, we set a goal of 80 million passengers for ourselves. This is higher than in our initial strategy. Back then, we planned to carry 65 million passengers.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the timeline for equipping Be-200 aircraft with Russian PD-8 engines has been announced.
