The emergency escape system (KSAP-800) installed on the UTS-800 training aircraft has been successfully tested. This was reported at the Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UWCA).
Engineers performed a series of bench experiments with the firing of dummies under various combinations of flight modes. The KSAP-800 ensures safe abandonment of the aircraft throughout the entire range of altitudes and speeds of the UTS-800 aircraft. KSAP-800 provides safe joint and separate abandonment of the aircraft by pilots.
The logic unit of the complex allows you to change operating modes depending on the training task being solved. The "joint/separate" mode switch provides the optimal mode for abandoning the aircraft depending on the number of crew members on board.
The complex includes guide rails, serial K-93 ejection seats, a logic unit created specifically for the UTS-800, as well as autonomous on-board power supplies.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Tu-160 "White Swan" bomber and the Soviet Tu-144 will become the basis for a new supersonic Russian airliner.
