Russian specialists have developed a reel for a fiber optic control cable for FPV drones with a range of 50 km. The weight of the product is 3.8 kg.
This product will provide interference-protected control and telemetry for multipurpose heavy-duty Baba Yaga class copters up to remote positional areas of long-range 155-mm artillery.
There have been no objective control shots of the new fiber optic strike drones yet.
A significant advantage of fiber optic controlled drones is the ability to maneuver in difficult conditions without losing signal. Thanks to this, operators attack targets hidden in urban ruins or forests, where ordinary drones cannot reach.
