Large-scale anniversary events took place at Baikonur, with the participation of a Roscosmos delegation led by Dmitry Bakanov. A key event was the opening of the Open-Air Museum, which features models of legendary rockets — N-1, Vostok, Proton, and the Almaz orbital station.
The head of the state corporation emphasized the importance of Russian-Kazakh cooperation in the space sector, noting the joint project "Baiterek" and the upcoming launch of the Soyuz-5 rocket at the end of this year. According to him, more than 1.5 thousand launches have been carried out from Baikonur, which have put over 2 thousand spacecraft into orbit.
As part of the festive program, employees of the space industry and residents of the city were presented with state and departmental awards signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
