Back to the USSR: Will Tupolev Say Goodbye to the Kazan Aviation Plant?

Grandiose transformations are brewing in the UAC

The General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Vadim Badeha, and the Managing Director of Tupolev, Alexander Bobryshev, recently visited the capital of Tatarstan. According to sources, they discussed the issue of the "divorce" between the Kazan Aviation Plant and the design bureau.

In 2014, KAZ was deprived of its legal entity and made a branch of Tupolev for "more effective interaction."

The reason for the separation now is that the tandem has not "worked as it should." The management also plans to personalize responsibility for construction.

Probably, the "divorce" of KAZ and "Tupolev" is just the beginning; the design bureau may lose all factories. At the same time, it is not a fact that the enterprises will receive legal entities; they may become a production complex of the UAC.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the "inner world" of the PD-14 aircraft engine was shown in detail for the first time: the temperature is like on Venus.
