The missiles of the Iskander-M operational-tactical complex are invulnerable due to their maneuverability. There are currently no means in the world to combat them, military expert Yuri Knutov said.
He noted that Iskander missiles fly along a quasi-ballistic trajectory, meaning they maneuver in flight, which few other missiles do.
They have been improved and refined, meaning the maneuverability characteristics have improved.
Knutov called the high accuracy of destruction the main advantage of the Iskanders.
Therefore, today there are practically no means in the world to combat these missiles.
Unlike cruise missiles, ballistic missiles always have a predictable trajectory. However, in the case of the modernized Iskander, this rule does not work, since any air defense system calculates the interception point based on the assumption that the target's trajectory will remain unchanged.
