Altera brand trucks with Yuchai turbodiesel and 8-speed manual transmission to be produced in Russia

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025

The Remdiesel plant has announced the launch of new trucks under the Altera brand. The first model will be an all-wheel drive 6×6 chassis with a gross weight of 19.9 tons. The Vehicle Type Approval (OTSH) is scheduled to be completed in the fall.

Among the features of the new vehicle is a frame made of high-strength steel, which is lighter compared to analogues, as well as low-leaf springs.

The main customers of the new chassis should be oil and gas companies. The car will receive a 270 hp Yuchai turbodiesel in combination with an 8-speed Fast Gear manual transmission.

The plant's further plans include the launch of heavier models with a gross weight of up to 30 tons. Remdiesel plans to produce up to a thousand Altera trucks per year, with the project scheduled for completion by the end of this year. The car is being developed in cooperation with Chinese partners not related to JAC.

The company also plans a high degree of localization of production, including welding and painting of cabins.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Uraman brand debuted with all-wheel drive models.
