The PD-14 engine is the first turbofan power plant created in modern Russia, and the first domestic fifth-generation aircraft engine.
Rostec showed the internal structure of the unit in a video. The state corporation explained that turbine blades are exposed to powerful centrifugal forces and high temperatures.
The rotational speed of the impeller reaches 60 thousand rpm, and the temperature of the gas flow reaches 2000 degrees Kelvin - over 1726°C (the same was recorded on Venus).
Therefore, turbine blades are made of heat-resistant alloys and have complex cooling systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that almost 4 billion rubles will be allocated in Russia for the refinement of the Ansat helicopter.
