Rosoboronexport Plans to Build Warships in Malaysia

Models of Project 22160 ships and the Alexandrite-E Project 12701 will be presented at the LIMA 2025 exhibition

Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) plans to establish the production of patrol and mine countermeasures ships in Malaysia. Samples of equipment will be demonstrated to the partner state at the International Exhibition of Aerospace and Naval Technology LIMA 2025.

The exhibition will feature Project 22160 patrol ships and Alexandrite-E Project 12701 minesweepers. The Rosoboronexport delegation plans to discuss cooperation prospects with representatives of the defense ministries of Southeast Asian countries. Special attention will be paid to interaction with Malaysian state and private enterprises.

Construction can be localized at shipyards in Malaysia and other countries in the region, both in the interests of national navies, coast guards, and marine police, and for export to third countries.

The capabilities of the Russian defense industry in creating marine robotic systems will be demonstrated using the example of the Klavesin-1RE unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle.

The ship's displacement is 890 tons, the maximum speed is 16.5 knots (provided by two engines with a capacity of 2500 hp). The crew is 44 people.

The ship's cruising range at economical speed is 1500 nautical miles, and the endurance is 10 days.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the thirteenth Alexandrite-class mine defense ship was laid down on the Neva.
