Almost 4 Billion Rubles to Be Allocated for the Improvement of the Ansat Helicopter in Russia

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced a competition to expand the operational properties of the rotorcraft

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has announced a competition for research and development work (R&D) under the code "Ansat-4", the purpose of which is to modernize the Ansat helicopter, taking into account the completion of import substitution and expansion of the machine's operational characteristics. The initial price of the contract, which will be signed with the contractor, is 3,954,101,000 ₽.

The typical design of the Ansat-M helicopter will include the installation of a VK-650V engine, a domestic engine starting and DC generating system SZG 27-A, a control system with rigid rods, and a set of onboard equipment KBO-ANS, including an autopilot and equipment for instrument flight (IFR). In addition, the pilots' seats are being replaced.

The listed changes necessitate the modification of the fuselage, tail boom, hydraulic and oil systems, cooling system, ventilation and heating, as well as the power plant cowlings.

Simultaneously with solving import substitution problems, the operational capabilities of the helicopter are being expanded. It is planned to increase the maximum take-off weight, install an anti-icing system, and increase the resource indicators of the main structural elements.
