The multipurpose Mi-171A3 helicopter (developed by the "Russian Helicopters" holding) will be modernized to improve operational characteristics. The corresponding tender worth 802 million rubles was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The development work (R&D) involves increasing the fuselage life to 3000 hours and the fuel tank life to 1000 hours, as well as expanding the operational capabilities of the Mi-171A3 in icing conditions.
The contractor will develop and manufacture a stand for conducting fuselage fatigue tests. As a result, it is necessary to obtain Main Change Approval (MCA). The modernization of the Mi-171A3 must be completed by December 1, 2027.
