The attacker loses interest if he senses the victim's confidence and awareness

A fraudster is a skilled master of deception. He is cunning and technically savvy. To scare him away, you need to ask clarifying questions and have your own awareness. This was reported by the Department for Organizing the Fight Against Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Law enforcement officers emphasized that fraudsters look like ordinary people and easily blend in with the crowd. At the same time, they skillfully play on emotions. Often their behavior is aggressive or saccharine, and they know how to create a "false urgency."

Fraudsters often use hacked accounts and other people's personal data, phishing sites and fake documents, as well as malicious programs for their crimes.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia discovered a new type of phishing. Attackers disguise their emails as notifications from Google. They exploit a vulnerability that allows them to resend original emails from no-reply@google.com, replacing their content.
