The Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is so well controlled in the air that it can perform pirouettes that seemed impossible from the point of view of aerodynamics. This was announced by test pilot Sergey Bogdan.
Unlike fighters of the past generation, on the Su-57 you can perform both a spin and some completely unthinkable tail-first flights. At the same time, the aircraft remains stable and steady. This is a completely different flight philosophy, indeed, contrary to the classical laws of aerodynamics.
The main advantage of super-maneuverability is that the pilot can lose speed to zero, but the aircraft will be controllable, even at extremely low altitudes.
According to him, the wide airframe of the 57th increases lift and makes the fighter stable at supersonic speeds. Supersonic speed is cruising speed, and without afterburner, and the flat fuselage gives stealth. For this, ammunition is placed inside the airframe.
