The Ministry of Health of Russia plans to use artificial intelligence to analyze promising innovations in medicine and develop screening technologies. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Sergey Glagolev, at the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum named after N. A. Semashko.
A more medium-term perspective is, of course, the use of artificial intelligence, including in the development of screening and analysis of potentially attractive innovative drug developments.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that, in addition to the introduction of innovations, great attention is paid to supporting joint projects with friendly states, including those from the BRICS association, aimed at developing new medicines and therapeutic analogues.
Glagolev noted that for sustainable drug supply, it is important to develop the production of analogues of drugs that do not have patents. It is also necessary to be ready to quickly produce generics and biosimilars when patent protection expires.
Earlier, Perm scientists created a new type of painkillers. Organic substances effectively relieve pain and have low toxicity. The new drugs double the time to the onset of pain reaction compared to the control group.
