Belarusian plant 1AK ready for mass production of innovative AGM batteries: tests completed

Production of starter AGM batteries will begin in August-September after a year of testing

Belarusian battery manufacturer 1AK is completing preparations for the launch of mass production of starter AGM batteries. According to the company, product testing has been carried out for a year, and the company is almost ready for large-scale production, which will begin in August-September.

AGM technology (Absorbent Glass Mat) differs from traditional lead-acid batteries in its use of a fiberglass separator that holds the electrolyte in a bound state. This increases the batteries' resistance to vibration, increases their service life, and allows them to be used in modern cars with start-stop and energy recuperation systems.

1AK already supplies batteries to the Russian market (brands "ZUBR", "Thomas", "ENRUN", etc.), and the new line of AGM batteries may strengthen the company's position in the premium solutions segment for the automotive industry.
