The multi-purpose frigates "Admiral Gorshkov" and "Admiral Kasatonov" of Project 22350 conducted combat firing exercises in the Barents Sea. This was reported in the press service of the Northern Fleet.
The sailors conducted a communications exercise, practiced elements of joint maneuvering of ships as part of a ship strike group, and conducted several shipboard drills.
The frigates also practiced defending a ship strike group against unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles of a mock enemy.
During the exercises, the combat crews of the missile and artillery combat unit and the combat information center practiced standards for transferring the ship's technical equipment and weapons to various degrees of combat readiness.
The calculations of the A-192 artillery mounts successfully completed a set of artillery firings at sea target positions in the Barents Sea.
The armament of the frigates of the project includes Onyx or Kalibr anti-ship missiles, the Paket-NK anti-submarine torpedo complex, the Poliment-Redut anti-aircraft missile system, and an artillery mount. A Ka-27 helicopter can be based on board the ships.
